With the increasing volumes of bioinformatics and biostatistics information, organization of the data lately became a challenging task. The medical and molecular biological literature repository PubMed holds published data at the National Centre for Biological Information. However, The Internet Revolution spreads the published data and related publicly available bioinformatics tools all over the internet

BioLinkBase is a database designed to organize disparate scientific data, specifically the hyperlinks associated with the references stored in the PubMed literature database. In this database, the hotlinks related to the scientific data/software are curated in a semi-automatic fashion. This platform setup to maintain and constantly update the changes in these valuable pieces of information.

BLB provides a exploratory web-interface with a user-friendly search engine to browse the biological data on Internet. It allows users to update inactive links and to add altogether new hyperlinks to the database. As a whole, BLB provides a platform for sustained connectivity of important sources of the scientific information.
