Use of Splus on science

Splus is in /usr/local/splus.

Your path should include
/usr/bin/X11    /usr/local/bin    /usr/local/splus


To start Splus
   1. open a winterm or xterm window for Splus 
   2. type Splus

To get help in Splus, type ?

To quit Splus type q()

To see graphics, you must open a graphics window.
   One way of doing this is 
       motif()       (can set the geometry here also)
   If the X window system is being used, the environment variable DISPLAY
   must be set.  This may require something like
       setenv DISPLAY ddddnnnn:0.0  
   prior to invoking Splus.  In this notation, ddddnnnn is the network 
   name of the display device.  Unless you're running Splus remotely,
   this is probably already set correctly.
