Use of emacs on science

emacs is in /usr/local/bin.

There is an emacs startup file, .emacs, in the anonymous ftp directory
jgentle/software on science.gmu.edu that maps SGI function keys to
useful things.

emacs is also available on any serious computer at GMU.
